Oh man, it is so amusing going back and reading my journals from high school. For a multitude of reasons, including but not limited to:

1) I do not remember a lot of the stuff I talk about. Apparently I talked to boys a lot more than I recall, and...um...wrassled with them more than I recall as well. Not in a dirty way! Just flirtatious 14-16 year old stuff.

2) I've had the EXACT SAME PROBLEMS with boys starting with my first boyfriend at 14. None of them know how to call on time, apparently, and they all try to tell me they love me waaaay too soon. OR they act totally into me, even tell me they like me, but won't date me. Losers!

3) I apparently thought I had something "really special" with every single boy I have ever dated or had a crush on. Apparently I've had like....17 million soulmates. Awesome.

4) I was RIDICULOUSLY BOY CRAZY, omg. If you think I talk about the boys I'm into a lot now? I ain't got NOTHIN' on myself at 14, holeeeeeeey sheet.

5) I very frequently fancied myself a poet, except that I sucked. I mean, everyone's poetry sucked in high school, obviously, it's high school, but it's just so cringe worthy to read myself getting all "deep".

6) I used to use sooo muuuuuch fangirl Japanese, lol -_-;

Did all y'all ever journal? Ever go back and read your old journals for the lulz? I used to read my later journals (late high school, early college) for insight, but Jr. High and early High School are just kind of lolarious.

I did. ...in a way. I drew a sketch almost every day, sometimes multiple, from 5th grade up until this year, and I can vividly remember what I was going through IRL, what song I had in mind, WHY I was drawing it, what it was GOING to be even if it was a 5 minute attempt at sketch, and what I was feeling. *a loser*

I never write because I feel like such a dweeb when I look back on it. I should, though.

That's really cool, actually. I wish I had more vivid memories attached to journal entries, but I suppose sketches are more tactile and would hold memory better. It's really cool that you have this unbroken link between who you are now and who you were in 5th grade. Nothing loser-y about that.

Some of my entries from my 13-14 year old self are pretty nonsense, but a lot of them are bitchy whining. (Much like now....ahem. haha.) I would erase them, but I like to see the progress i've made. haha.

I don't take you as "boy crazy." Then again, I started crushing on boys when I was five.....haha.

I definitely wrote A LOT of nonsense, especially from like 11-13. I don't even like reading those ones anymore because I was just so ridiculous, lol. But it is interesting to see progress, and see the things that haven't changed. You should never erase old entries! They're a piece of your personal history, and that's invaluable.

Ha ha, you haven't been around me in person lately to see the "boy crazy". And I think you didn't end up on the boy crazy friends filter I set up...I added you though, lol.

And I got my first crush on a boy at 5 too :D

past me is WAY annoying. Really....even though I know I use/d my journal to vent, it's still pretty sickening.

The highschool stuff is amusing, especially when I was in my Skyler phase (LOL)

Oh, girl, your Skylar phase. The journals I was going through was the beginning of your Chris phase and I apparently used to try to embarrass you around him semi on purpose, I totally don't remember this, but it made me lol for reals sometimes. I need to go find our Chelsii notebook...I'm pretty sure I still have volume II.
