This made me lol. Sooo true.

Today I bought Sailor Moon hairclips at a discount mall, and got my eyebrows shaped.

Yup.
So here are some things I am going to buy!

Miss Kika Mouse pad!

Hello Kitty Mouse!

Hello Kitty Keyboard

And I intend to buy a Miss Kika print, but I can't decide which one I like best. Help me pick! Rococo Dreams is my favorite, but it's twice as much cuz it's not on sale. ;_;

Also, this xkcd comic is so very, very true about TV Tropes. I have literally spent hours on that site. No lie.

I have to go back home to a lack of internets now. Siiiiigh

Sweeeet. I love the internet. I've been in a cheery mood all day because tomorrow is AX! I was all stressed out yesterday because I had to pack and plan outfits, but now everything is DONE and I just have to drive home, have pizza with the mom and bro, then it's off to AX in the morning! I'm hoping Starry Candy Box has Memorial Cake...I was stalking the English AP site for like a WEEK and then the one morning I DON'T check, it gets uploaded. I wanted the skirt in white sooooo baaaaaaaad. Rawr.

Library today was fun! We found this hideously messed up area that we needed to re-shift, but instead of just one or two people shifting the area with a book truck, we created a human chain with half of our workers and two staff members and handed the books through and around the shelving ranges. It was pretty awesome.

I'm back at my library. Being on desk is stressful, but it smells nice. <3

Also, 7 historical figures who were absurdly hard to kill.

I saw graffiti today that said "I heart star of david sex." I am very curious as to why they threw in the star of david. Do they heart jewish sex? I don't get it.

UC Santa Cruz: Worst School in AMERICA because they are COMMIES.

I <3 being a communist, oh yes.
So...this whole strikethrough '07 thing is (sort of?) over now. The comms and journals are slowly being reinstated. Both the fandom and actual childlove ones which is...eh. I dunno, I'm all for free speech, and as long as those people are using the internet as an outlet and not actually touching any children ever, well...I don't know. I don't want fandom associated with pedophiles, but like somebody said in [livejournal.com profile] innocence_jihad fighting for free speech sometimes forces you to associate with those you wouldn't ordinarily want to. I'm just kind of glad this hasn't reached the real media, because then the whole "fandom/fan-fiction = pedo" thing really would become a stigma.

As this thing has gone on...and on...and on, I have come to realize that it is pretty friggen hilarious how is all came to be. It pretty much went like this...

If I could draw, this would be a comic but... )

I mock because I love. I'm glad fandom stood up, though. It was (is?) fun to watch and makes me love the LJ community all the more. Also, [livejournal.com profile] fandom_counts? Up to over 30,000 members. Holy, freaking, shit. We definitely are fandom.

ps i think this is why there are not good potc 3 icons. DAMN YOU STRIKETHROUGH!

fun fact

Did you know that in the middle ages it was commonly believed that witches took men's penises, kept them in birdcages, and kept them alive by feeding them oats?

"World of Warcraft has also come under criticism for stories of game addictions to the popular video game. In June of 2005 it was reported that a child had died due to neglect by her World of Warcraft-addicted parents. In August of that year, the government of the People's Republic of China decided to enforce control over how many hours the country's 20 million gamers can play."

From Wikipedia.com. It's sad...but kind of funny. And crazy.
