feelin a bit loli for once

I've been in such a Lolita funk lately. We had a very small gathering at our house the other day, and everything I wanted to wear ended up being more fairy-kei than Lolita. I've been much more fairy-kei inspired lately, that and like Weetzie Bat style vintage. Which is all well and good, but it makes me a little bit sad...not really sure why.

However, I am considering a few purchases! Mostly the Dreamy Doll House skirt in mint, or possibly the new "Jewelry Jelly" in mint as well. What I really want is this jumper thing in any color but pink, but a) it's sold out and b) AGAIN with the fairy-kei.

Mostly I've been getting excited about AP's blouses lately, but they never come to Starry Candy Box OR the English site and I don't have a shopping service that I like. And they always seem to be sold out by the time I notice them on the website anyway. :/

So...Loli update time! I love hearing about what all y'all are excited about these days. :D

Lately I haven't seen anything I like on AP, either. I think they're having a creative slump. And if that's the kind of stuff you're into then I can see all of lolita going with it. I've been really into Baby lately for that reason.

That said, I love those little overalls! They would look awesome on you.

I definitely think AP is in a slump...even I think all their prints look the same. They're all cute, but if you have one you kind of have them all.

You HAVE to take Loli pics at Versailles, omg! That is one of my lifelong dreams, so let me live vicariously through you! DO EET.

Wow, even you? That says something. I really really want to talk business with their CEO. I really think she's causing the slump (too reduced production, poorer quality materials), not the designers. I'm sure they DO get told "make more of SWEEEEETS!" because it sells more.

I have to say I failed at loli pics at Versailles. -.- It was way too cold that morning to get loli'd. I didn't even get to wear Paris Windows in Paris. :( I'm definitely coming back here during Spring break in May! I'll do it when they weather is nice. :D

I love the AP jumper/romper style, there is so much I could do with that! My theme for spring/summer is basically ice cream colors :3

so slightly offtopic, but I was wondering what brands/methods you used for your blue and lilac hair? I'd like to put my aqua and lilac back, but I want my blue to come out less green.

I love ice cream colors, tooo...that's pretty much all I wear these days. Ice cream colors with a black motorcycle jacket. >:D

For the blue I used Manic Panic's atomic turqoise. It doesn't last super duper long, but it's the prettiest blue I've ever used and I've used a lot. As for the purple, I've been using Special Effects deep purple cut with conditioner; it comes out reeeeeally dark by itself, but a nice lighter but lasting purple with conditioner. I've also used their wildflower and joyride for purple, an they're lovely, but don't last as long. :)

The mint is definitely the best color in the jumper, for sure. It's so cute!
